22nd Oct 2018

A day of tremendous darts at the Clwyd Open today, despite numbers being a little lower than in previous years. Fast forward to the ladies’ and mens’ semi-finals.

In the Ladies’, Jackie Brighton defeated Glad Davies, and Cheshire’s Jane Robson beat her Clwyd-based pal Natalie Davey.

In the mens’ semi-finals, Clwyd’s Paul Hughes beat James Beeton, while Gwynedd’s Arwyn Morris progressed after beating Clwyd’s Derek Williams.

In the Ladies final, Jane Robson (17.82 Ave) emerged as champion with a 4-1 victory over Jackie Brighton (16.43).

In the men’s final, Arwyn Morris (27.54) proved too strong for Paul Hughes (23.22), and after many years of participating in the Clwyd Open, finally became champion with a 6-2 victory.–
